TEAM KEITH

Throughout my career there have been various people I have wanted to work for, talk to, connect with and learn from...the list is long. Luck plays a part in these collisions and out of the blue I have found myself in front of someone that I never thought I would meet. At this stage I am fortunate to be in the presence of Keith Urban. He is my coach on the TV series The Voice. I am a fan. Back in 2006 I was having lunch on Dorrigo Mountain with my parents, they live up there, and the bar manager was playing Keiths album. I had to ask her who it was that I could hear, it was beautiful. The song was 'Tonight I Wanna Cry'. It hit a chord with me. I was going through a huge shifting on my ride. So I bought the album and have been enjoying his music since. Great songs...luminous albums produced with heart and created with the best people in the business. Meanwhile, in my own pursuit to be a better man Keith has been a guiding light. So life, as usual is abundant and filled with joy. We never stop learning. We never cease to be amazed. We are blessed...

Hi Darren!

I've been following you on the voice and it only just clicked that I saw you on a gig at ignite last year. Just want to say that the performance you just did was absolutely electrifying. Keep doing what you're doing and even greater greatness lies ahead of you. You're an inspiration to many already.
Now I know why my kids call Coolum "Cooltown"..............
You never cease to amaze Mr Darren... Like fine wine who gets better with age.

So proud I cry each week.

Killing it. Tash Forge
Hey i just realized that Mr Percival is Darren Percival!! I saw you a few years ago. WOW You are killing it. A beautiful voice, a beautiful soul.Love to you, Emmy
Darren, you are an inspiring joy to watch and listen to. I first heard you at a corporate workshop a couple of years ago in Queensland (Bayer) and am so delighted to see you now performing every week on TV. Your sheer delight in music and life shines through in your performance - you are just awesome!!!!
You are bringing love and joy to so many people Darren! I hope you win the voice but the truly great thing is that it really doesn't matter 'cause you're so more than one TV competition. Such a lot of heart and a gorgeous voice. xx
Great to see you doing so well! Have loved watching you at Brass Monkey, Woodford and Queenscliff! Great to see you being so appreciated on tv too! Great work!!! Like your style and the positivity you exude!
I have just watched your performance, again and again and again and again? I could not stop watching you. Magnificent. I have just voted for the very first time ever in relation to a TV program. You are truely other worldly Mr Percival and I wish for you the most success and thank you for sharing your gift with me tonight. x
I wish Keith would get you to sing "We're All Alone" by Boz Scaggs. Ironic that it is refreshing to hear a voice that reminds me of older generation singers like Boz and Van Morrison. Definitely better than modern boy bands or Beyonce type stuff. They all sound the same to me. I've never watched shows like The Voice before for that reason. Go Darren. I hope Ch9 stays true to the concept.
Congratulations, Darren you just sang one of my favourite songs in the best way possible,Good luck, you should win.
Good Luck . I have never been to a concert (and am 47 yrs old) never really had the time or need to but I cant wait for you to do an Australian tour. You are the best voice (and have such a wonderful manner) I have ever heard and even my husband says this- so that is something.
I used to listen to you many many years ago. I remenber my husband and i watching you play this funny little gig which was actually in a hallway somewhere. We know you as Darren Paul, the best session singer in the country!!! We wish you the very best of luck with whatever this will take you. Just wish you and Danielle were playing at the Basement with Kere, Victor, Bill Ris, Tony Azzo, and my wonderful, Bettoes on guitar. Maybe one day soon hey. That would be my dream band!! Good luck my friend. My fingers are crossed.
Wow, the dream ride all the way to the final. I don’t have TV reception at home so I’ve had to follow the whole adventure on computer. I’ve been out of step in space-time with a about two million people who are charting your progress but I think and hope the Title of “The Voice" goes to you or to Kerise Eden. (I just cast my vote for you again!!) It’s clear that whichever of you wins it will be because of something way beyond technical ability. Something far more exciting. It will be because of depth. I say “Yes Yes Yes" to that. Good luck Darren. All my fingers are crossed for you, your family and your glorious sense of purpose. Soulman O'Gaia Creator of Freedom Songs www.soulmanogaia.com
Hey Darren You are an absolute genius! I wish that I could play the drums for you because you have soul and passion that inspires me! Dylan
Well done on your performance so far Darren - your music has touched three generations of my family. My wife & I were at her parent's place recently & 'The Voice' came up in conversation & they said they too loved your music & had phoned thru a vote for you. Our son (8yrs old) likes throwing his school hat around & singing 'wherever I lay my hat that's my home'! We can't wait to buy your album & hopefully see you live - best wishes for the Grand Final & beyond.
As the words of a song say " You are amazing you do amazing things." Best of luck Darren. I love everything about you.
The voice is the best reality show so far and your presence in the show makes me watch the replay over and over again.Music is defined as " The language of the Soul " and everytime you sing, it refreshes every soul.. your voice define music as the language of the soul... I am praying hard for you to win The Voice Australia for YOU are the VOICE .
Darren, My beautiful Lady Di and I are both 61 years and just appreciate your offerings each week in THE VOICE. You would have to be as JOEL said,, The Best in Aus of right now. John Farnem has just lost his spot. If you get to Albury or Wagga Wagga we will line up. Thankyou Darren Regards Michael
Hi Darren, I think we coincided years and years ago @ Johnny Young talent school in North Sydney. You were so good back then at 12, belting out New York, New York. Glad your dream is coming true.

Hi Darren, it is great to see a wordfordian glowing so. It is only by luck that someone asked about your music that I was playing at work that I found out you were wooing the nation on the voice. I will be tunin8g in tonight, my positive energy intending for your success. Let it flow !
Darren, got my hopes up you'll be winning tonight! I don't usually watch Reality TV or TV Singing Contests, but I've been following you on the voice and I'm glad there is a finalist who isn't a young teen pop idol (nothing against the other finalists of course).

Good luck and I look forward to hearing more of your stuff when the show is over!
Hi Darren Just wishing you the very best for tonight on the Voice - I have voted till my finger is sore and if there is any justice it will be you. I will buy your CD as soon as you release one and I would definitely come and see you in concert. When you sang I Believe, I found myself teary for the rest of the night and couldn't understand why until I went back to realise it was because of your rendition of that wonderful song. Even if you don't win tonight, you are the best.
Darren, I have seen you perform a few times in yeppoon and was lucky enough to meet you. When I saw you on the voice my heart was filled with so much joy, as if my own friend was up there. I don't miss a show. I sit in silence when you perform. You sing through joy. You are such an amazing artist. And as lucky as you are to have been working with Keith, he is just as lucky to be working with you. You have no idea how many hearts you touch. Win or lose, you are a winner to me. I've bought all your songs and voted for you numerous amounts of times. I know I might sound like a crazy little girl, but if I was making someone this happy by something I was doing, I would want them to tell me. Thankyou, one million times.
Darren, good luck tonight on The Voice! You have a truly sublime voice & a one in a million gift...... You are a wonderful performer and thoroughly deserve to be "The Voice"....in fact Darren, you already are :-)
All our family including our 3 children are now big fans. You were lovely to watch and to listen to. Congratulations on your great ride on the voice. Enjoy.
Hey Darren,

I rarely turn on the telly, but so glad I did tonight - WOW! Soooo wonderful to see you up there in the lights, where everyone gets to enjoy the gift of your talent. Your voice and spirit came shining through in full, sparkly brightness, and it's clear how much respect all the judges have for you. Keep on shining bro!

Just know that the show has gone world wide thanks to the internet and that there are so many fans I have watched all the episodes from Kentucky USA and remember even if the best man dose not win he can be a winner. there are millions of us awaiting the album. JIM
You are a winner Mr. Percival!! when you sing you can really touch a soul whenever you release your album I am gonna buy it. All the best and keep up with your great work God bless you.
I was surprised and disappointed last night because I thought Darren should have won the Voice.

Darren, you have the beautiful voice coming from the sky. I can see and smell the sunshine in your voice. A bright shining voice!
Mate....I have no words. Been watching you through the voice and am now an avid fan! You came in second to an excellent singer, but I still think your on top bud. Your singing just makes me soo happy dude. I admire the love and admiration you show your wife and family. You make me want to be a better man. Keep living it, loving it and singing it brother. much respect! P.s I'll be buying your albums too
I love your humility and the joy that emanates every time you are on the stage. The first gig I ever played was a night at Brass Monkey supporting Mr. Percival - and I'll never forget it - the encouragement and inspiration that you gave me. You are the real deal - in both talent and personal integrity, and this is reflected in you voice and song writing. Looking forward to seeing where the journey takes you! Blessings. Kieran
Magic man. The universe has surely lined up so the two of you could meet & start changing the world your individual ways side by side. Have loved watching U soar & bring everyone on that show with U & several million viewers. U just make ppl want to b better ppl. Always inspired. Love

HI Darren. Hello from WA. So glad I watched The Voice and encountered your wonderful vocals. Looking forward to hearing more of you. Off to your shop section right now to see what I can buy. Thank you for entering The Voice.
Congratulations on "The Voice" champ, but, now it's over, what am I going to spend my phone credits on??? I gotta say your extended-extended newcastle family were totally addicted to every song and are immensely proud of you. So stoked to see you mum and dad ecstatic on TV in support of their son, who in their eyes 'made it' years ago.
darren i just love your voice and so do my whole family, we all want to buy your record! wish you and your family all the best for the future in music and in life
It was you all the way, your voice, presence and soul touched so many people, including me. You know what you gotta do, that is what you said. I have given up as an artist, like you said you did. Man, you need to float on this knowing how much change you have brought, to yourself and also to others. Keep up that wonderous look around this world.

You know what you gotta to, keep doing this, keep working, keep writing, keep singing, keep playing, don't hold out, give that gift to the world. It is a better place because of you.
Hi Darren, I am a new fan, from watching The Voice, I had you picked as the winner from the start. I was right. It is a blessing to be given such a beautiful voice, thank you, for sharing it with all of us. Best wishes to you and your family.
You area awesome
I just adore your voice and your class. I will buy your records and wait in line at a concert. I was hoping you'd win the contest but it did what it needed to do for you and you are going to make it Darren. I melt when you sing. Keep up your hard work I think you are amazing. Also thumbs up on not being linked to that crap song, that guy is just trying to make a fast buck off you. Stay true to yourself. All the best to you and yours.

Well Done and about time you deserve to be on top. My inlaws saw you at a show with James and then told us to go to Monkey Bar and check you out for our wedding. We were very impressed and you entertained at our wedding at Bilsons on the Quey. I had two left feet but you let me off easy. Everybody had a great nite. Thanks again and we are really glad to so you shining brighter than you have ever.

We still watch the video of our wedding and the Younger Blonde haired Smooth Man swooning away in the background.

Ha Ha

Keep on going. Dale & Vanessa & now two lovely girls India & Sky
My wife and I were instant fans from your first performance. We exchanged "who is this guy" look between us and thought the song choice was a pearler.

I am green with envy that you got matched with Keith. He is a hero of mine and I love his style, his music, his ethos and work ethic. His music resonated with me when I was going through a very difficult period of time. I am in a much happier place now and life is good. Perhaps Darren Percival can provide me with a soundtrack to the life I have now?

I have no doubt that because Australians respect talent, hard work and genuine performers that you will have a solid career from here.

We will be buying your album.

We will be coming to your show.

See you soon! Rich & Renee
Thanks so much Darren for the pure joy you have given our family with your voice. I personally am a James Taylor fan and you have done the most wonderful covers of his own songs. Keep giving us more and we'll keep buying and we'll be the first at your concerts when that happens. Bless you!
Wow, a total joy to hear such joy. Hurry up with a tour throughout Aust.
Didn't know who you were until The Voice. We in Mudgee NSW don't get to see live artists, and never of your calibre My husband thought I'd lost the plot every time you sang on TV. Now he has to listen to your CD on repeat, repeat & repeat, especially happy home. Now I am the happy wife, hope my husband is too. Thank you for your wonderful gift to the world, and the joy in which you give it. Come to central NSW and I am sure all concert tickets will be sold out, by old people like yourself and my family. We await your second album now and yourself touring Aust.

Linda at Mudgee

I love the name, Mr Percival and the association (in my mind) with the beautiful and magical place - The Coorong in SA. You have a beautiful and magical voice. Thankyou for taking the time to serenade me on Foveaux St at the AIM open day (2012). You made my day, my week, my year! I was already starstruck, but even more so now. I wish you the success and happiness that you deserve. When will you be touring?
Hi Darren

I saw your show at Belmont 16 footers on Saturday night. I was so tired and in pain before the show began, but did not feel a thing except for joy once you started singing. I absolutely loved your songs, your looping, and your band. Thanks so much for spending time after the show for a brief minute to cut out all the other people who were looking for your attention and have your photo taken with my wife. It was brilliant to see you being so real and personable with each person. You are obviously a hard worker with your feet on the ground and a gift that comes from above. All the best...
Just want to say I loved your soulful voice during the competition. Especially the duet with Keith.I did a road trip last week from Cairns to Mackay and found your CD in a service stn near Bowen.I needed some music to pass the miles away and it came down to you or Jackson Browne. You won!Keep up the great work and keep it real. by Laurie( Oct 19, 2012)
